Elizabeth A. Madden ’96, Principal, Global Head of Employee Experience and Engagement at Davidson Kempner Capital Management, has been named the new head of the President’s Business Council (PBC), according to Rev. Joseph G. Marina, S.J., president of the university.

Madden, a founding member of the PBC, has spent more than 20 years actively assisting the University community through the PBC, most recently acting as its vice chair. Francis J. Pearn, Managing Director and Global Chief Compliance Officer of JPMorgan Chase & Co., class of 1983, follows her as PBC chair. He has held the position since 2019.

Father Marina remarked, “As we move through this time of transition for the PBC, I want to thank Frank Pearn for his commitment, mentoring, and leadership over the past four years. Elizabeth agreeing to chair the PBC makes me very happy. I am happy that she will continue to lead the PBC because her work with it has helped the University advance for more than two decades.

The PBC has provided me the chance to have meaningful conversations with the future Royals for more than 20 years, Madden added. We continue to reinforce the purple tie that ties the University community together and contribute to the development of future leaders by assisting in the connections between current students and alumni leaders.

Madden has provided thought leadership, strategic partnership, and consulting services to the founders of hedge funds, C-suite executives, and internal company leaders throughout her career. She has extensive expertise working throughout the globe in senior leader coaching, employee relations, HR policy & procedures, and recruiting. Madden directs all of Davidson Kempner’s activities for inclusion and belonging, employee development, well-being, and philanthropy in her capacity as global head of Employee Experience & Engagement.
