Join the collaborative effort in Bermuda aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs in sustainable tourism, agriculture, and cultural industries. Take part in a survey to promote financial inclusivity and uplift women-led Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

In a collective endeavor towards economic inclusivity, the azure waters surrounding Bermuda serve not only as a picturesque backdrop but also as the stage for a significant survey targeting the backbone of its growing sectors: women entrepreneurs. As the first rays of sunlight grace the island, a distinctive initiative unfolds, striving to shape a future where female business owners in sustainable tourism, agriculture, and cultural industries not only participate but also lead their respective fields. Until March 4th, the voices of these entrepreneurs are being actively sought in a survey crafted to comprehend their financial requirements and propel them toward prosperity.

A Collaborative Effort for Transformation

Central to this endeavor is a partnership that harmonizes international backing with local perspectives. The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC), and the Ministry of Youth, Social Development, and Seniors have united under the guidance of expert Carlos Cesar Yammal. Their objective is crystal clear: to conduct a ‘Needs Assessment on Financial Instruments for Women-owned MSMEs’. This survey transcends mere questioning; it represents a ray of hope for women who have long traversed the challenging terrain of entrepreneurship, often lacking the requisite support.

The survey, accessible on mobile devices, ensures confidentiality and aims to compile data that will facilitate the development of financial products customized for women-led MSMEs. It underscores the conviction that comprehension is the initial stride toward empowerment, striving to dismantle obstacles that have traditionally hindered women’s financial access.
